Any Interest?

Any Interest?

Seeing as how the number of fly tiers attending the fly tying nights has been steadily growing over the last couple of years, it is probably an opportune time to see if there is any interest in organizing a couple of fly swaps this season. In it's simplest form a fly swap requires each tier selects a fly pattern and ties up enough copies for each participant in the swap.

For example, a 10 tier swap would give everyone a 10 fly selection (9 flies from the other tiers, plus your own pattern). To get a better idea as to what the swaps are like, check out the Fly Swaps section on Fish-Hawk.

Oragnizing a swap within the membership will greatly simplify the logistics w.r.t. exchanging flies. Exchanges could be coordinated for a general meeting or a fly tying night.

Cheers,
Todd

I'd be interested in this: as long as participants aren't expecting excellently produced flies from me :/

Do as best I can, though!
